Wes Brown - Artist & Story Teller

I started developing my artistic eye after taking many art classes in college. After graduation I worked my way up from a production graphic designer to Art Director for two magazines. In addition, I continued to study the elements of design, art and photography. I love how my subject can be captured in a moment of time as a thing of beauty or visual interest. Sometimes that thing of beauty is a bride and her wedding, other times it is the fashion models I shoot, or just about anything in nature. I am always looking to create the best composition I am capable of through the use of light, composition, focus and emphasis.

Having a degree in mass communication, I am also part story teller when photographing a wedding or event. This is not just capturing the wedding or event in chronological order, it is looking through the lens for those candid human moments that bring life to series of images. Like capturing the moment when a group or couple are laughing. Just looking at that images will breathe life back into the memory of that moment for those in the photograph.
